Just wondering why so many forum members are so reluctant to give any clue or hint as to their location
??? ??? ???

Hi
I imagine that they are worried about things like identity theft and unsolicited e-mail etc. Or perhaps they have never looked at their profile since joining.
All the best

Much as I love everyone here, I couldn't entertain you all for tea at once.

Very nice sentiment IgorStrav. :) We've just a small bungalow in Dorset but usually manage to accommodate visitors from a previous 'family friendly' website, which closed unfortunately.

It can be handy to know where people live - even a country or vague area would suffice eg. Scotland, SE England, Australia, Canada ... then you have some idea what time zone they're in and it can be helpful when offering advice regarding access to resources, offering lookups etc. ;D

My thoughts too Ruskie.
I didn't mean a detailed location, just a town or city or even a county or for the secretive ones then just a country.
Cheers.

I was only joking really, Fergie.
I agree. My profile says where I am.
I welcome all Family History researchers as long as you don't mind the queue for the tea urn.
