Hi All, I am trying to track down the where abouts of a Rev Daniel George Davies, born 1842 in Llangadog. According to the Times June 1893 he was Vicar of St Asaph, Brymbo and Wrexham. I am having trouble finding him in either the 1891 or 1901census. Any help out there would be very grateful.Cheers :)

Many thanks for that kind reply and yes certainly moving around, although not quite like his father in certain different respects,have a look at my story for William Davies/Andrews on the carmarthenshire postings. Most interested to see that there is a Western Mail Archive, any leads on that? Regards,Stephen :D

I`ve moved this just in case you missed the modification ::)
The Times, Friday, Aug 24, 1928;
OK, have found an obituary of Rev Daniel Davies aged 64 but he doesn`t seem to be the right one, this one was born Llandewi and was appointed vicar of Brymbo in 1893.
Could you have the wrong one. ???
-
Don't think so he was born in Llangadock in 1842, to Thomas and Mary Davies, Vicar of Llangadog, that I have dubbed the naughty Vicar. :-[
-
This is the Daniel Davies you first referred to as being the Vicar of Brymbo, it`s a different man.
Can`t find yours though ???

In 1917 he was living at 17 Canfield Gardens, South Hampstead. His son had sadly been killed in WW1. https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/439127/FRANCIS%20HUGH%20DAVIES/
