Title: Llanfyllin Cemetry
Post by: JGarratt on Sunday 19 April 09 18:33 BST (UK)
Hi All

I have just found out where my great great great grandfather is buried in Llanfyllin. Though he is buried with 2 children with a surname that i didn't know was linked to the family and can't find the link.

I know that it is usual for people to buried with family members, though can it be possible that they are not related?

I really appreciate all advice given

Thanks

Jeannie x

Hi

The municipal cemetary will also have private graves - (ie) paid for and owned by family members

Public graves held up to 7 bodies.  They are also known as "paupers graves" in that the deceased is buried at public expense

It is highly unlikely that the children have any connection to your ancestor if he is buried in a public grave
