Hello,
Further to my interest in Lisgo/w/e (etc.) I would like to know if any one is researching Fothergill Robinsons.
The earliest marriege I have is;
William Robinson---1784------Eleanor Fothergill
Bookseller of Liverpool
Then my ancestors are;
William Fothergill Robinson (1802-1870, Broker/Proprietor, Liverpool)
Arthur Robinson (1843-1887, Banker/Broker South American Bank, Liverpool)
Ethel Mary Robinson (I am descended from her son, Christopher Bedford Steel)
I'd really like to know about William and Eleanor, as I don't know their dates of birth and where exactly they came from, only that William was;
'A Dalesman who came down from the Lakes to Liverpool...'
Also, any information on Atkinsons of Liverpool, as folllows;
Christopher Atkinson----------Susannah Wilkinson
Job unknown (info please) (Parents; Mark Wilkinson & Jane Whitehead)
((Ancestry in Saddleworth & area, Yorkshire))
Christopher Atkinson------Ellen Sutton
b.1807 (daughter of a Cheshire Farmer, Peter Sutton)
American Hide Merchant
He travelled many times to Charleston, South Carolina (about 32 crossings)
Mary Susan Atkinson-----Arthur Robinson ((as mentioned above)
Any information would be great, thanks.
Bye for now
Jess
