Title: Robinsons of Lylo
Post by: Watson David on Tuesday 14 April 09 08:47 BST (UK)
I am trying to find my ancestor James Robinson born about 1795-1805 married to Hannah living in Lylo townland in the parish of Seagoe. Father of Watson born 1830 and Margaret born in 1834.
Any ideas or leads gratefully received.
Best Watson

Have you viewed the Seagoe parish registers?

If not, i can send you some details from them by email, if you send me your email address by P.M.

Yes Otto I have looked through them. That's where I found Watson & Margaret!
James & Hannah are there as parents and are buried there but there is no record of either their marraige or births in the Seagoe registers.
Thanks for advice.

Since Watson Robinson would be a very uncommon name I had a look at index to civil registrations and found 2 likely matches:
Watson Robinson marriage 1853 Lurgan registration district
Watson Robinson death Jan.Mar.1880 Lurgan registration district age 49 (which fits with birth c1830)

Yes Thankyou for that. I have those records but am looking for Watson's mother and father James or Jas Robinson and Hannah (but no surname) They are listed in the Seagoe records but only as parents to Watson's birth as Jas & Hannah of Lylo. I am trying to get a lead on their marraige or births which do not appear to be in the Seagoe records.
Appreciate the help
