Would someone please be able to help.  Looking for Henry West, wife Hannah, and Son Henry Charles West.  Henry Charles b. 1837C Newington Surrey.

The only one i can find on 1841 is

Ho107/1065/7 St Andrew Street,Lambeth, St mary, Newington. Surrey

Henry  West   25    ? porter    b. out of county
Hannah   ~     25                            ~
Henry      ~     4                      b. in county
Valentine ~     2 (male)                  ~

Hi Allison,
Thank you so much, that is great.  I never knew about a son Valentine.  I do know that there was a Sarah Ann b. abt. 1842 and Hannah Elizabeth b. abt. 1846 both Newington.  I have not been able to find any of them on 1851 Index.

Allison has kindly forwarded me details of this family on 1841 Census.  I was able to access 1851 Census at our Library from Ancestry, but the transcribing is difficult to make out, it reads:
Ann West Head b. 1796 London
Ann West dau. b. 1844 London
Derry West son b. 1841 London
John West son b. 1849 London
Sanna West dau. no date b. London
Valentine West son b. 1840 London.
The image of original is unreadable, is anyone able to help .

Hi

It's a really bad image and spans 2 pages.  I magnified it to 150% and the only thing I could make out was that I think Derry is Henry and Sanna is definitely Sarah

It's difficult to see where one family ends and the next begins but after Sarah there is a son ? John.  I think there was also a Frances (daughter) and then another daughter whose name is unreadable

Hi,
I had assumed that Ann (b 1844) was Hannah as Ann was a nickname for Hannah, I had hoped this was the right family for me as I was looking for Hannah Elizabeth, who was born in 1843 with a father called Henry and a mother Hannah. If you are interested I have the death certificates for both Henry and Hannah. Hannah Elizabeth was in New Zealand by 1863, presumably before 1861 as I can't find her in the census. I don't know if any other members of her family went with her.
