I am trying to find my ancester, William Stewart Heard. I know his son was born in Aldershot in 1881, so that was were the family was living then. Are there any lists of cemetary graves in Aldershot? I'm coming to England next year and would really like to find his grave so that I can visit it. All I know about him was the family was C of E. and he was married to Elizabeth Ellis.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Do you have William's death certificate to show that he died in Aldershot? With a date of death it might be easier to find a burial place.

To narrow it down, it looks as if he's still in Aldershot in 1891 but haven't found his wife, nor him in 1901, what was his son't name?

Unfortunately I don't have a date for the birth or death of William Stewart Heard (Snr.) his son had the same name. The son was born in Aldershot in 1881. The son was also in the army, probably the Army Service Corps in WW1, this we found from a couple of postcards my mother had. But no information about the Senior. The only think I have is a possible photo of him that seems to indicate he was in India, a Seargent in the cavalry. However, I am not certain it is him in the picture. (the wife is rather stern!!)
It is so sad that William Junior died before I was born, so I never had the chance to talk to him. My grandmother died when I was 4, so no discussions with her either. My mother was only 2 when the family set out for Australia, so she knew very little about the family in England. She only spoke of the family coming from Farnham. William Stewart Heard Senior is a mystery.
Thank you for your help so far.

I have found the marriage of William Stewart Heard and Elizabeth Ellis at Elham JFM 1880 Vol 2a Page 1165
Not having any luck finding any of the family in various census or registration of any births which seem to fit.

Here's the son in 1901:
RG13/565 fol. 60 p. 44
37 High Street, Woolwich
in household of William West, Licensed Victualler
William S HEARD s 20 Potman (Barman) Aldershot Kent Hants
He must be somewhere with his mother in 1891 if his father was in the army camp and a married man
It looks from the census index as if he (son) lived in Cheam, Surrey in 1911
Son's marriage cert should show if Wm senior was deceased by the time of his son's marriage in 1902
Dec Qu 1902 Epsom 2a 49 William Stewart HEARD to Daisy Lily LE FARRE
Willima snr could well have been abroad in 1901, am checking overseas deaths now
