Title: McDonald & Connaher's of Logierait

Donald McDonald marrried Anne Connacher in Logierait 5 April 1800.

Am hoping someone has a book of MI's for Logierait and could check for any McDonald's.

Have been unable so far to find their births or deaths .

Anyone out there researching Mcdonald's ????

Hi Kama, Im also researching Mcdonald's

I have a John Mconald who Married a Jean white in 1918. On his marriage cert under usual residence
It has Barnaguard,Logierait, (presently at Barry camp, barry).


His Mother was Elizabeth Reid and father Charles Mcdonald.
John was 25 when he got married so im not sure if he was actually born in logierait, but his usual residence was logierait in 1918.

Does this ring any bells?

Hi Kama

I am tracing my Macdonald line and so far I have got as far as James Macdonald who was my GGG Grandfather, he was from Dull Perthshire and married Janet Connachar from Logierait on the 8th June 1792.

One of their sons on my direct line was Donald Stewart Macdonald born in Logierait 1803/4 he Married Ann Rodger.

There is probably a connection between our different searches, see if any of this matches in with yours.

Have you found the family of Donald & Ann

I had a look on IGI there are 8 children born to this couple between 1803 & 1819 all birth's are extracted and connechar on some is spelt with 1N and on others it has 2Ns.

John 7th Jan 1803  (second John Below)
Thomas 28th May 1805
Jannet 5th Feb 1809
Alexander 30th Jan 1807
Helen 4th Jun 1813
John 15th Feb 1811
Donald 16th Mar 1819

All births are in Logierait
