I am trying to find the mother of Kathleen Winifred Willetts born 24 sept 1917. Her father was Henry claude Willetts born 1892 in Wolverhampton area, died 1 june 1917 listed as war dead, buried in Bilston. and her mothers surname was Dunn.

I can't see any marriages on BMD - you may have to send for her birth certificate. :(

I can't find a marriage either - however, I note on his birth (1891) and his death entries that his name is given as Claude Henry Willetts.

are you still looking for the mother of Kathleen Willets?
The Phoebe Willetts mentioned above was my maternal grandmother. According to one of my aunts Claud fought in WW 1 but died from tuberculosis later and was buried with full military honours. He married his childhood sweetheart on his deathbed so she could get a widows pension.
There is no mention of any child. So I wonder if this is the same family. Phoebe married William Dunn and my mother Eileen was one of their 7 children.
