Hi all,
Please post your Surname request and I will check what I have,
Regards Catherine :)

Hi Catherine,
Just a thought, wouldn't it be easier to just list what Scots Parishes you have available.
Then when a request is made you wouldn't have to go through each & every Parish looking for people.
Cheers
Geoff

I would be very very interested in any FALLEN or FALLON in Troqueer Kirkcudbright.
My brickwalls were born in Ireland (Bridget or Margaret and Thomas FALLEN) circa 1811 but 2 of their children Michael (~ Jan 1841) and Margaret (~ 1848) were born in Troqueer.
I haven't tracked these births down yet so if they appear would love to here about them.
Cheers,
Pam

I'm looking for a birth of James Low or Walker born about 1853 in Forgue. His father name is George Walker but not sure if his mother Elizabeth Low was married or not.
I can't find anything on Scotlands people, and not sure if your records are different or not.
Hope you can help

Francis BELL was born "somewhere" in Scotland and he married in Taunton in 1693.
Any thoughts as to where he may have been born circa 1640-1670?
He was buried in 1734 and there have been no records found that would indicate his age.

Hi Catherine,
I would be grateful if you could have a look for Grace McE LUSTY born c1853 Tollcross, LNK and James Murdoch LUSTY born c1850 Tollcross, LNK. There is a possibility the surname may be MURDOCH as the mother was previously married to James Murdoch.
Thanks

Hi Catherine,
I am looking for the birth, death or marriage of John King(b old Monkland) age 46 in the 1871 census living in West Calder, with who I assume is wife Agnes Greens (who lacks his name). I have found one birth to them on the family search IGI (William Stevenson King)It does say they were married 1850 Glasgow.
I am having problems finding the births of the other children:
Henry king b c1852 (Wishaw)
John '' 1862 (Dunbarton)
Mary " 1857 (Shotts)
Agnes " 1859 (Ayr)
Margaret " 1866 (Dunbarton)
I can't seem to pinpoint these on Scotlands people so hope you can help.
Cheers Ali

I have an Elizabeth Simpson - parents James Simpson & Elizabeth Wallace or Walls - christened in South Ronaldsay, Orkney in 1837. IGI says she was born in 1823. I think she was born in 1828 for reasons listed below. Can you find any record of the birth?
Liz Simpson eventually ended up in Edinburgh in 1852 coz her son was born there. She states on her marriage certificate 1856 that she was 28 years old which puts her birth around 1828, which matches her death certificate as well.
She died in 1908 aged 80.
I'm not even sure if she was actually born in Orkney or not, although her death certificate says she was.
And I cannot find any Simpson/Wallace marriage in Orkney either. The only Simpson/Wallace marriage I can find in Scotland was in Berwick in 1787.
Thanks
