I have just came across a birth for Mary Ann Rogers b in Scotland,parents William Rogers and Hannan Anderson.  What I am looking for is the parents of William Rogers to see if he is of my family. on the scottish certificate his marriage date is 28 dec 1878 Gateshead,as I am unable to find his death in Scotland,

Spelling slightly different but William Rodgers married Hannah Anderson SeptQ 1878 Gateshead  10a p830.

My great grandmother Mary Ann Rogers was born to William Rogers and Hannah Anderson in May 1891, in Scotland, baptised in August in Christ's Church, Northumberland.

Hannah Anderson's parents were John Anderson, coal miner, and Ann (m.s. unknown).

I don't know William's parents.  William was living at 43 Mary Agnes Street, Coxlodge, Newcastle, Northumberland in 1922 when Mary Rogers-Thomson and my grandfather John Thomson, and his younger brother James, immigrated to the US.

I cannot find a death date for William Rogers in England, there are too many names listed after 1922;  I would love to have information about the marriage of William Rogers and Hannah Anderson, anything you might share.

Hi aaronlife,

Your great great grandfather and my great grandfather Robert Rogers were brothers.  There Parents were Robert rogers and Mary Beson, They married  on the 22 may 1858 in Heworth,Durham.

  Mary ann's mother Hannah died in scotland in 1905.
