Would anyone be so kind for me and look into a burial at Llanwnda Cemetery?
For years I have tried to find out the death date of my GG Grandfather with no luck.I have located his burial at Llanwnda Cemetery and want to know if there is anyway that someone would be able to visit and take a photo or advise me of what the headstone reads?
The details of the burial are:
Burial Record Search
Burial Information: MILES, John
Record Number: 16448308
Date of Burial: 27/04/1942
Place of Burial:
Grave Number: 286
Grave Section:
Grave Row:
I have searched and searched for the death date/certificate to match the burial but have not had any luck.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thank you,
Sandra

Can I assume the date should be 1842? If so, this looks like the registration
John Miles june qtr 1842 Haverfordwest vol 26 pg 435
ps - you might want to remove your email address from public view before you get inundated with junk email.

just checked 1942 just in case. There is a John Miles death registered Haverfordwest in june quarter in that year as well, but can't be yours as he was less than a year old.

Hi,
He definately died in 1942, I just cant locate a date or certificate. My GGG Grandparents and alot of my relatives were buried at Llanwnda cemetery so when i found this burial for 1942 for a John Miles i just knew it was my GG Grandfather. (There are other reasons of course)...
Would anyone know how to find out the death date? OR be so kind as to visit LLanwnda cemetery and take a photo or tell me what the headsstone reads?
All help is highly appreciated.
Thank you

but the 1942 burial is very likely to be of the infant John Miles whose death is registered in that quarter.
Have you tried contacting the superintendent responsible for Llanwnda? Details on link

Dear Manordeg,
That is so kind of you to offer, thank you very much, However I have received some photos from llanwnda cemetery already. I would have to go through what photos I have and what photos that I need as I definately do not have all the family members that are burried there. Thank you again for your offer, it is much appreciated, I will look into what I have already and get back to you soon.
Have a lovely day.

Shwmae ? I live very close to Llanwnda & was interested in the research that you are doing. I envy your having a nice unusual name like Fox to research. Were you, by any chance related to Hilda Fox of Lower Fishguard? I'm a Lower Town girl by birth and have old photos of the older characters to share & swap, - if you have the Fishguard connection.

hhughes - maybe some mutual interest in viewing old photos? You can see some of mine in Llanwnda church - a few pages about the bible of William Griffiths by the font.
