Gareth - hello again :)
Was that her maiden name or her married name ?
I can't see a Kathleen Kyte marrying in 1909, only an Edward, Thomas, William or Robert.
Where / who did she marry ? And where did she die ?
-
When did she die and how old was she at that time
Do you have a copy of her 1909 marriage cert showing her age and her fathers name and occupation
She may have been married previously so Kyte could have been her previous married name
GRO index checked and marriage was in the Dec qtr 1909 Merthyr Tydvil 11A 1205
-
The 1891 has a Frances Kathleen Kyte b 1887 in Huntington Herefordshire parents Edwin & Caroline
You need the marriage cert to confirm her fathers name
-
Births December qtr 1886
Frances Kathleen Kytz Kington 6a 525
-
i have the death cert which shows the age i had previously found the marriage gro but do not have a cert for that
-

She died 23rd dec 1961 aged 81
married 1909 to aaron lewis
-
That gives a birthyear of 1880 but there is no 1881 entry for her or any freebmd birth
You need the marriage cert
-
There is a Frances Kathleen Kyte on the 1891 census (daughter of Edwin & Caroline) aged 4 born in Huntington, Hereford and she's one of 5 children.
Think she's on the 1901 census (in Bryngwn) Radnor where her surname is spelt as Kite. The rest of the family seem to be living in Radnorshire as well by then.

Hi Telford

Hi
We have pretty much given all relevant info above re: birth and marriage
GRO index checked and marriage was in the Dec qtr 1909 Merthyr Tydvil 11A 1205
As previously shown - You need a copy of her marriage cert to confirm her fathers name
If it was Edwin - we can provide 1891 and 1901 entries
Births December qtr 1886
Frances Kathleen Kytz Kington 6a 525
That surname is as transcribed on freebmd but if you apply for a copy of her birth cert I would show both spellings to be sure or check the entry out at your local main library
-
FreeBMD says Kytz but it's pretty clearly Kyte on the actual index :)
-

Hi Tati
Ancestry have now removed access to the full birth images as they claim to have "transcribed" all of them up to 2005. It's a real nuisance in instances like this when you know full well it's a wrong transcription but can't check it out

www.freebmd.ork.uk allows you to view the orignal mate.

DUH - I completely forgot about that!!

When you use ancestry's FreeBMd database they still offer 'view original' :D
Also, it's useful to know that when you scroll down here
http://content.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=8912&offerid=0%3a7858%3a0
and here: http://content.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=8782&offerid=0%3a7858%3a0
there's a 'browse collection' option (well hidden, isn't it! :P)

yes, somebody took great pleasure in telling me I was wrong and they were still in Ancestry last week :o
