Ness,

There are a couple of  submitted trees on Ancestry. Is one of them yours ( Moran family tree or Ketner family tree) ?  I am wondering what you already know, and what gaps you need to fill.

Alfred's son John in Bloomfield NJ in 1880:

John Hibbert 30 Hatter England
Ada wife 24 New Jersey
Alfred 5 New Jersey
Albert 2 New Jersey
Alfred 52 father Hatter England

Per the IGI, John and Ada also had a son Robert who was born 28 January 1877 in Bloomfield township. More of him later - he applied for a US passport in 1922 and visited Tahiti that year.

There's a WWI Draft Registration card for Albert Etchels Hibbert living in East Orange, New Jersey.  I can't see the image at the moment, but the transcription says he was born 28 Jan. 1877.

There's also this:
Social Security Death Index
Robert Hibbert
Last Residence: Great River, Suffolk Co., New York
Born 28 Jan. 1877
Died Jun. 1967
SSN issued in New Jersey before 1951

hello,
i am wondering if we may be related via the hibbert family.
my ancestor, charles hibbert was born in london c 1791. his trade was a hatter. i have a reason to believe that he married a mary bailey, born in warrington, cheshire 1791. charles died in  heaton  norris stockport, cheshire / lancs 1855.
they had the following children
george c 1826
elizabeth c 1826
mary c 1828
samuel c 1829
william c 1832
mary (margrand) c 1835.
charles and mary may had another son james c 1814 ? ( i can not remember off hand, as i writing from memory).
samuel's descendants later moved to openshaw, droylsden lancs. i would be very interested to hear from you, very soon.
regards jonny

Hi Jonny, we could be related? iam just wondering if Joshua Hibbert had a brother named Charles? Joshua was born around1801 Lancashire. Joshua was also a hatter he is the father of Henry Hibbert who is my ancestor?
Because my hibbert's came from Droylsdon England. Then moved to America and opened Hat shops, so we may tie in somewhere alone the line. Ness

hello ness.
many thanks for your reply.
i have no knowledge if my ancestor charles had any siblings at all. as of yet i have not traced his parents. i know by 1814 he was living in stockport, he married mary bailey there in that year. i had rather hoped, with you researching the names hibbert and bailey, that there may had been a more definite link.... (perhaps via james) between our families. but as yet i feel there is no link. sorry ness. it was worth a try.
so thanks for taking the time out.
my regards jonny.
