Hi,
If at all possible, I would like to find the full 1901 census record for Mary J Bloomfield. A quick search shows her as born in Tong, Bradford, Yorks in 1879. At the time of the census she was still in Tong working as a combing machine hand. Who is she with? ???
All help very much appreciated

Thanks wozzle, I really appreciate your time and effort.
Could I possibly trouble you for another 1901 lookup in Bradford please.
This one is for who I believe to be at the time, Mary Bloomfields future husband. He was Sam Wardman (1878).
Sam was born in Bradford and in 1901 is working as a card grinder.

sorry but have to go to work now but if by the morning no-one has posted the census entry then i will have a look for you.

Thank you for your offer. Appreciated as ever.

Hi Greg,
There is a William Wardman age 60 living on means born in Bradford,
and Son Sam 24 years working as a Harness Tier ( then another word i cant read)
they are living at 376 High Street Great Horton.

Thanks Fitty. I can't make that out either.
He is one of two that I found in the 1901 individual search. I would be very interested in Sam the Card Grinder. With both records I can look to eliminate one or the other.
Name Age Where born Administrative county Civil parish Occupation
Sam Wardman 23 Yorks Bradford Bradford Bradford Card Grinder
Sam Wardman 24 Yorkshire Bradford Bradford Bradford Harness Tier

I'm having real problems finding the 2nd one. I have found another Sam Wardman who is slightly older but married.

Possibly more clues here. If I have got the right Sam back in 1881, then the father was Gent Wardman. Strange name, but he does appear again here in a 1901 indivdual search.
1901
Name Age Where born Administrative county Civil parish
Gent Wardman 45 Yorks Bradford Bradford Bradford
Also in 1881, the wife/mother in the family was Susan (1853) and a sibling for Sam named Jesse (1880).

Which list are you using in your search because i can't find a Gent Wardman on the 1901 either. He's there on the 1871,1881 and 1891. I've tried different names but cant find him, I did find his wife susan,
Shes listed as being married too. I would make another thread asking for this if i was you. People see 5 or 6 answers and think it's completed so dont look.

i cannot see a gent wardman at all in 1901
the only gent born in bradford i can see is gent murgatroyde

I made the search on www.1901censusonline.com
I also made individual searches for the other family members, Susan, Sam and Jesse. They all appeared. There were two Susans, both employed as stuff weavers. One was 42 yrs and the other 48 yrs.

Very strange ???
I have been onto this site and done individual searches for the same people in 1901.

Again, they all appear. They were living in the Bowling area of Bradford. The address, or at least the area was something that I was hoping to find from this lookup. On this site a search for Sam brought nothing. He did however appear as Samuel and again employed as a card grinder. Also I found what may look like another family member, James Wardman (1885). There were one or two Wardman families in the Bowling area so couldn't confirm that. The 1891 census should deal with that problem but I am intrigued why they do not appear in your 1901 records.
