George Wilkin b. 1807 Cromwell m. Amelia(Emilia) b. Chesterfield ca. mid/late 1820's but where & when? Was it in Derbys or Yorks as their firstborn Mary was b. c 1829 in "Yorks" according to 1841 census when the family are found in Wadsley? What was Amelia's surname?
Hope someone can help clarify where they m.

Ive had a look on the IGI, I can see George's birth and Christening and that of his twin brother John, but no marriage.

Did  they marry or just say they did  ???

Do you have the birth details?  If not here they are

George and John Wilkins born 23rd August 1807
Christened 13th September 1807  St Mary Cromford
Parents George Wilkin and Sarah ?

Thanks I have this info from the excellent Wirksworth web site.I have posted on the Derbys site Without too much success. However as some of their offspring were b. after 1837 in Wadsley I am presently awaiting a b. cert to give me the surname of Georges wife before progressing further.
