are the pages 'big' in computer-terms?
can you not upgrade to broad-band?

A friend had this same problem and was able to fix it by going to www.mail2web.com and checking his emails through that site. You can tick which emails to delete and then when you go back to Outlook Express the email shouldn't be there. You can also try to check your emails through your ISP website and delete the problem one.

I agree. There are still a few people who still can't get broadband, but if you are not one of those, it's a cost-effective alternative which is much quicker than dial-up.

You can also use Mailwasher Free which allows you to view what incoming mail there is for you on your server and It says whether or not it has an attachment. You can delete what you do not want and bounce the spam.
I've used it for years.

As a quick fix, get your friend to resend it one page at a time.
It sounds like these pages contain images embedded in them, because a 9 page text document should not pose a problem, even for dial-up.

That would depend on whether it was in text or picture (i.e. txt or jpg) format :)
The original post just said "9 pages of information"

You may have settings like; Do not download files over a certain size...
You can go to your Mail Server's website and get it there
If your email address is e.g. me@rootschat (dot) com then go to
www.rootschat (dot) com...look for webmail, then put in the username you have and your password.
Don't reply to this by putting your email address down or you'll get spam.
