Title: David JOINER(1834) missing on 1851 census
Post by: KerryfromOz on Saturday 14 March 09 05:48 GMT (UK)
I am really hoping that someone will be able to help me locate David Joiner (1834), born Chesham on the 1851 Census.

I have him on the 1841 with his parents Provis & Hannah but can't locate him on the 1851.  He is not with his parents and as he married Hannah Fountain in 1857 at the Lee and died at Botley in 1858 I would really love to locate him on 1851.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Hi Charlotte, his death cert from 1858 says he was a Ag Lab.

Ag lab.... well, that rules out that idea of being out of the country.. :-[

Maybe another pair of eyes going over the 1851 may help?  Sorry but  I don't have access to such search facilites but it can happen that a new searcher finds something...
can't think of anything else to suggest ...

Thanks Charlotte, you are right sometimes someone else can find something that you're missing.  I seem to have searched the 1851 for him a million times but keep coming up with nothing.

Curiosity, but what was the cause of death as he was young and presumably? strong as an ag lab?

Cause of death was "Fever. Diseased mesenteric glands. Certified'

I haven't actually researched exactly what it might mean, am waiting to catch up with a cousin who is a retired nurse for a further explanation.
