Many thanks for the information. It looks like they are related somehow !
The address Park lane.......
It looks like Reuben was a older brother born 1815 I know Jabez was born abt 1820.
I was hoping that they would be both named at the same time on the census.

Thank you for your help

 :)

Hi

I am also resarching Jabez Newton. My link is through his wife Charlotte Stubbs who was my gt gt grandfather's half sister.

I have a copy of the probate/will documentation for Jabez's death. Not really a will as he died intestate.

The three guarantors/executors of his estate were his widow Charlotte and two other men whose relationship is not stated but must be close family. Their names are Reuben Newton and Thomas Newton.

Happy to share info

Bev

Jabez was my gt gt grandfather. I think he is possible a brother to Reuben they have the same address in the 1841 census. I possibly have their father James died 1815 he also was a silk worker. I only know of 2 other sisters to Charlotte they were Elizabeth and Ester.
Thomas is interesting as I have not found him yet!

I have a lot more info on Charlotte's family and some extra details from the probate documents for Jabez as it gives's Rueben's and Thomas's addresses. Do you descend through Edward or William?.

Charlotte had 5 sisters in all and one considerably younger half brother David who was from their father's second marriage in 1844. I descend from David.

Do you want to contact me direct at (*) as I think we can help each other out.

Great to hear from a new cousin
