I have a great grandfather who I think came from the Ballyanne area. His name was Charles Ryan. I think he moved to South Wales where he married a Welsh woman.

Hi,

It sounds like we may be talking about the same family. My great Grandfather married Harriet Jones in South Wales and was a miner. One of their children was my gran, Eileen who married into the Walker family in Yorkshire. She then had two children, one my mother, Joyce Walker. Do you have other names of Charles Ryan's children to check with we are talking about the same family?
