Hi Audrey,

The father is serving with the East York Regt, they have had a son in Kent then a year later have another George In Ireland then a year after that a daughter in Beverley, York. I am trying to find out if they are on leave and visiting family when Mary J had the baby, if so did they get married in Fermanagh in about 1867ish, before going to England?

Hope you can understand what I am after.

Thanks for your help

Colin

Going through old posts and found this one - have you already found the information on this family that you were looking for earlier? Since then lots of Irish resources have come online.

The only way to find the father's occupation on the birth certificate will be to order the certificate. See here for details included on birth certificates and how to order them-

Hi Colin,

I've posted on your other thread but thought I'd add to this one in the hope that you see one of them! I have a copy of George's birth cert. and those of his brothers, John and William - can't get hold of James yet and also his two sisters, Elizabeth and Emma Jane - my husband's grandmother. I have copies of all their death certs. and also some of their childrens certs. Expensive business! I am intrigued to know what your connection to them is?

Best Wishes

Judith
