Hi :)
I have just recieved the marriage cert of my Elise Le Sueur, born in Jersey, abt 1831,
it say's that her father was Elias Le Sueur, I wondered if anyone can spot him in Jersey at any point,
his wife Jane Le Sueur ( nee Le Gros) appears to be a widow in 1851 .

Hi Eileen
Can you give me a bit more information please?
Where did Elise get married and what was the date?
I can't find Jane Le Sueur in an 1851 census. Can you give me the reference details please?

Hi Eileen
I've searched the St Helier deaths from 1841 to 1851 and cannot see one for an Elias Le Sueur.
Incidentally, Elise was baptised 11th Nov 1832 in St Lawrence.
I can't seem to find them in the 1841 census in Ancestry but did find them in the hand written 1841 census at the Archive Centre.

Hi Eilleen
Just dropping you a line to let you know that several of the Le Cocq, Le Sueur and Le Gros family members emigrated to Canada. I have come across these names several times in the search for my LeGallee and LeVallee family members.
Good luck with your search.
