Title: Can't read census entry - help!
Post by: lahsunc on Monday 02 March 09 20:06 GMT (UK)
Can anyone help decipher what the "day" reference is in this excerpt from the 1851 census? I know that the person in question was an Ag Lab and Chelsea Pensioner, but don't know what the rest is!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Perhaps it is 1/2 day.

Is it 1/1d (per) day - ie that's his pension equal to 5 1/2 p in decimal money?
