Can anyone provide me with any info on the McLaughlin family who
appear on the 1901 census of Ireland in the townland of Carrowhugh,
Moville, Co Donegal.[ I believe this townland is actually in Greencastle ].
Parents : Alexander / Sarah [ nee McCorkell ]
Children : Mary [ my grandmother ], Hessie, Nellie, Maggie, Cassie, Archie.
I know they had at least 1 other child [Eliza Jane].
The parents given proffessions are Gardener & Housekeeper, which suggests that they were employed in a big house or estate in the area.
Any information on the above family before or after 1901 would be greatly appreciated

Joe,
I am still interested. I have no info whatever about the McCorkell's, so anything you can tell me would be a great help.
Sarah would have been my great great grandmother.
Regards,
Tam.

I have McLaughlins that married McLaughlins from the Rooskey area. Also Have a Margaret Doherty that married a Patrick McLaughlin from Greencastle. Margaret's parents were Arthur Doherty and I believe an Ann Kearney.

Sorry, don't think there is any connection.
