Hello,
I am after some advice as to whether Im on the right track with this??
Im looking for children to Donald Gillies & Mary McKenzie of Invernesshire.
Ive found a Roderick Gillies on the 1841/1851 census in Portree & they came to Australia on the Miltiades in 1852.
Ive also found an Effy Gillies (same parents) born 1801 Portree on the Scotlands People Site.
Also a marriage between Effy Gillies & a John Campbell Snizort Parish in 1825.
I was wondering if there definately is a connection & if she migrated to Australia also?
I found an Effy & John Campbell on the Ontario 1852 but Im just not sure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou :)

Effy,
Make sure that you are covering all the bases...births, marriages and deaths.
That way you can make doubly sure of parentage and offspring for every entry that you find.
Confirming their mobility is something else. There are passenger lists out there but tieing them to one of your Gillies can be a challenge.
Let me know how it goes.
Graham
