Has anyone come accross Witherington Lee?
He married (as a bachelor) Charlotte Burrows on the 30th January, 1808 in Orford. He was a soldier. He had two children and died before 1826. I can't find a burial.
I would like to know if anyone has any more information on him. He is my 4 x great grandfather.
Thank you,
David.

Hello Diddy,
Thanks for the info. That is indeed the burial of Witherington's wife Charlotte. She died on the 6th September, 1847 in Orford.
With reference to Witherington's birth on familysearch.org: I think this date was presumed from the marriage date.
Best regards,
David.

Dello Diddy,
That's my tree on Ancestry. It needs a bit of updating.
She was living in Orford on the 1841 census.

Hello Martin,
Good to hear from you.
I'm still looking for his baptism and his burial/death. I know he was in the Battle of Waterloo, and was captured by the French. His wife (Charlotte Burrows) is registered as a widow in 1826.
Any new information would be much appreciated.
Best wishes,
David.
