Could you provide a wee bit more information on William and Lily. How is he related to Francis? When and where
did he settle in Canada. DOB and place born would also be helpful.
If you PM me I can send you the 1916 Census page for Francis and Agnes from Ancestry. I also live in Calgary.

Hello Joekar,
The 100 year limit has passed in Manitoba since your other thread. I found this birth on Manitoba Vital Statistics website. You may have it by now, but may not....
Annie Eveline McGourlick
b. 10/12/1908
Place of birth....R. M. of Brenda (don't know where this is in MB)
Added: There were no marriages or deaths.
Have also sent you a PM

The index at the Manitoba Vital Statistics website indicates that Annie Eveline McGourlick's mother was named Agnes Mathieson so Annie would appear to be the daughter of your Francis.
The R.M. of Brenda is in the southwestern part of the province not too far from the US border. The largest community in the R.M. of Brandon is Waskada which is about 140 km southwest of Brandon.

hi lily pal,
francis had a son william born c1911-1915....
going on the info from ourroots written by his niece, he married someone called lily.
i would believe that william would be born in manitoba
william was born after annie and ada
i have the 1916 census for maple creek.
francis still has living descendants living in calgary...i had the pleasure of meeting them last year (renfrewboy)
hi polarbear pal,
only knew annie was born in december 1908, pleased you found her birth date...thank you.
as you also maybe aware is that she went on to married william ford..she passed away in 1981.
i really much appreciated any help or ideas i recieve from this thread...
i was also wondering if maybe william was in the army along with his brothers john and donald...but yet again can find nothing concrete.

R.M. stands for Rural Municipality and would be similar to a county (we don't have counties in Manitoba) and Brandon is the second largest city in Manitoba. An easy way to find it is to use Google Maps.

Hi Joe,
Sent you a message with my email. Better to contact there. I will reply punctually.
My grandfather Bill (William) was no in the army. He stayed local making trouble. My dad (Gerry) joined the army and met his uncle (Don) there.
My grandfather had 2 kids- Leona And Gerald. Leona lived in Alberta until she died years ago. My dad is alive in BC.
I saw from a previous thread about the family homestead… my grandfather’s oldest sister got married and her family still owns the homestead in Gull lake. The Steel’s (Posehl).
Email me if you have any more questions.
