Hi,
I am looking for info on my great-grandfather, Frank DONALDSON b.1870 (not sure which country) - d. 1937 (Port Elizabeth, SA). Had a son, Ivan DONALDSON, b.12 Feb 1912 - d. 18 Dec 1982. Frank DONALDSON is buried in the North End Cemetery, in Port Elizabeth. Alas, there is no gravestone, only a name and date in the cemetery records. As far as anyone can remember, Frank DONALDSON was married to a POSTHUMAS from Cradock. Any info on his parents or spouse would be most welcome.
HELP PLEASE :-\

Have you applied for his death notice from the archives. This may give you more info about him.

I have checked the FreeBmd site in the UK. There is a birth registered fro a Frank Donaldson in the March Quarter of 1870 in Bristol. The next closest are born in 1878. may or may not be him and might be worth investigating.

Hi,
Thanks for the info. I have tried requesting documents from the Cape Town archives department. Have not received any answer as yet. Is there another way to request copies?
