That is a perfectly valid point Joseph.
If, perchance, the weather is favourable, we really must make the best of the day. However, one must consider the opinion of the majority.

I don't see any coffee,....but the grapejuice looks good.
Cheers Phyllis, Huntersjoy.

(Prop you never said you where going to pub or i would have stayed longer)
-
Huntersjoy I have just come back from Oz two weeks ago, you should have said we could have had our own mini meet. I know Oz is a big country but we did a lot of it. I did meet two roots chatters there and two in Nz.
-
DARN....... Blondie how diappionting, I would have loved to meet you. I expect that you were in NSW.
I'm working up to a trip home, if I can convince my OH. The more people I meet & talk to in the chat room the more home sick I feel. I would love to walk through my Ancestors past, I
passed through Glasgow in 1995, but knew of noone to contact. I recently made contact with my 1st cousin, so that will be a good excuse to return. I felt like I belonged in Scotland & suffered homesicknes for 2 years after returning to AUS. I hope my chatroom friends & I will meet in the near future.
A real Scots girl at heart,
cheerio for now, Phyllis Huntersjoy. :'( :)
-
Hi again,
Not just NSW we did have four days in Sydney but we drove to Canberra and met Eds and Melbourne to meet Liz Oz and up the Ocean Drive to Aderlaide then flew to Peth. I love OZ
-
Hi all
Thanks Joe for organising our wee get together. We had as always a fab time.
I found a few wee golden nuggets in the Poor Records which was fab . Now I know the agony of having to wait for the postman. I gave the young lad next to me a bit of a fright when I suddenly stood up, hand in the air going'Yes!'. (Was a real When Harry Met Sally moment for those of you who have seen the film). Mind you turns out my gt gramps bro was a right bad lad. Did a runner owing his landlady to Glasgow and was seen to be under the influence of 'intoxicating liquor' . Now I know where I get it from!
Was great to see everyone and meet new folks too. Can't wait for the next one in the autumn.
