Hi D.
was George born in Wexford, London? There's also a Wexford in Ireland.
There's a George, Mary Margaret and John Henderson, all christened at St Martin in the Fields, Westminster, London, about that time. Parents John and Mary.
George born; 11 July, 1809. ch. 12 Nov. 1819. IGI C037213.
Leonie.

Hi,
I'm related to George & Regina Henderson. They migrated to SA and then moved to Bendigo.
Several children were born in South Australia. How did you discover that George was born in Wexford?

Hi annespencer, I have had it for some years that George was of ludgwall, but just a few weeks ago, several in here found that he was from Wexford and moved to London and married there, yes, I have some paperwork from Sth Aust and Vic, death cert for Regina, marriage cert for Theophilus and one or 2 other papers about.

Hello Anne again, by chance do you have anything on George Henderson and where he was employed as Prof of Music in Victoria?
They resided in Adelaide for 13 yrs then over to Victoria, all I have so far as George being a Prof of music is on his sons marriage certificate, nothing to say where we actually worked.

Hi Anne,
You may care to visit an earlier thread on the Cornwall board (Now Moved to Australia as no Cornish connection - George HENDERSON and family arrived in South Australia in 1838) which I have added to recently. You will note my latest conclusions suggest there may have been a bit of a mixup with George Hendersons in SA. A few things just do not add up as you will see. ::)

For George Henderson we have him on his son's marriage cert as Prof of Music, marriage took place at the Methodist church Bendigo, son was Theophilus, so with George being a Prof of Music would cover the information of him being a piano laborer/apprentice in his early london days, since I could not find (too lazy really) his birth or other family in London, the "Wexford" details came up as good for me. They lived 13 yrs in Adelaide and then to Victoria, he could not have taught music in Bendigo as there was and still is not a facility for music as would be in Melbourne, with that I gather he would have taught music in at least one of the Melbourne facilities.
