Hi Gina
It seems (pending the arrival of two certificates to confirm) that the T Rafferty on the War Memorial and who is buried with his daughter Jane Robinson Nee Rafferty is one of 'mine' who I have spent ages searching for!! I suspected he died in 1917 .. will see what the death cert has to say .. fingers crossed.
Have you any O'Rourkes on the list? .. His mother was an O'Rourke so its a long shot but I'm flying on the success!
I know I've said it before but I'm really grateful for all the help you have given me, I don't suppose there is anything I can do for you in return but I will pass the favor on as and when I can ... not much good to you I know lol!
You really are a star,
All the Best

Hi
Just an update ... have just received the marriage Certificate for Jane Robinson and yes, she and her Father Thomas were the Family members I had been looking for... Thank you so much!
One puzzling thing, Thomas is listed on the War Memorial yet his death Cert states that he died of Acute Bronchitis ... I wondered if anyone knows how I can go about finding information about the listed Men on the War Memorial?
In light of the death Certificate I really need to check to see if they are the same 'T Raffertys'
Thanks for everything
Helga

Dear Oly
sorry I didn't get straight back to thank you for the information you posted, (ripping out carpet so have just got back online) its a huge help.
Was this info from the Rafferty on the Thornaby Cemetery War Memorial?
I thought that (on the Memorial) he was a 'T' Rafferty? ... The John Rafferty you have provided info for was (I think) either 'T' Raffertys Son or Brother ... all these Raffertys lol!
If you can point me in the right direction of how to obtain info about Thornaby WW1 fallen (I have one Thomas and two John Raffertys who died between 1915 - nov. 1917) I would be really gratefull.
Thanks for your help Oly, appreciate it
best Wishes

Hi Gina,
Thanks for that, I thought they were still in Thornaby when Augustus died but perhaps they'd already moved to Stockton, I'll have to re-check my notes.
I don't think Charles and Isabella are my relatives.
Cheers
Bryan.
