Title: Manchester Histories Festival
Post by: andydavies on Monday 23 February 09 20:36 GMT (UK)
As posted on the "book recommendation" thread: a Manchester Histories Festival is to be staged at the Town Hall on Saturday, 21 March. There will be a series of lectures - all for free - and there is a varied and interesting programme here:

http://www.manchesterhistoriesfestival.org.uk/lectures.php

If you are particularly keen on one or more of the talks, you can book tickets from the same site. There will be lots more happening on the day, including displays, guided walks, etc. Should be a good day!

I have applied for tickets to :-

Hi,

I have booked for the manchester medicine one. Have sent a message to Salford Lass so will wait to hear from her.

Maybe no one else is going or they want to remain incognito?

Heather  :)

Migky

I emailed them

reply was

Hello,
That's curious, we seem to have had your requests but they
haven't been processed yet, I'll see what I can do to sort it, but
it's probably just a delay caused by the fact we've been very busy!
Although we closed booking on Warrender when it hit the prebooked
limit your request came in before that happened so your tickets are
safe.

best wishes,

Hi,

Yes, I got mine through the same night. Just need to print it off and take it with me to present at desk!

Looking forward to it and to meeting everyone. We will need to sort out a time and place to meet up :)
