Title: Elizabeth Tucker
Post by: tootsgirleen on Tuesday 17 February 09 13:20 GMT (UK)
Hello

I am having no luck in finding the birth, marriage or dead entries for Elizabeth Tucker, she was born in 1816 in Sturry, Kent.

I know she moved to Gloucestershire (date unknown) as she married William Bond and appears in the 1851 and 1861 census.  I cant find her in any other census.

1851 - Class: HO107; Piece: 1972; Folio: 136; Page: 3; GSU roll: 87372.
1861 - Class: RG9; Piece: 1794; Folio: 59; Page: 2; GSU roll: 542869.

I will post this on the Kent and Gloucestershire boards.

Any help appreciated.   :)

Thanks

Hi tootsgirleen,

With the 1841 census not giving birth places, it's quite difficult to identify a single individual unless they have an exotic name. There's an Elizabeth Tucker, age 25, not born in county in service at Kings Charlton. Likely but impossible to prove  :-\
HO107/353/2 18 1

I see William was married to a Rebecca back in 1841 and the marriage between William and Elizabeth took place in 1844 (Sep 1844 Cheltenham 11 235). Do you have a copy of the marriage cert?

 :)

PS William is shown as widowed in 1871.

Hello both!  :D

I know what it says on the census, but just for clarity - the placename should read "Charlton Kings" not Kings Charlton.

Her death is likely to be this one as Cheltenham covers Charlton Kings:

Sep 1863
Cheltenham 6a 267
Elizabeth BOND
