Hi - Can anyone tell me which parish the district of West Brightside came under in 1900? I'm trying to find some church records and I'm not sure which parish church I should be looking in.
Thanks Marcus

Hi Dee
Thank you for posting the full web addresses for the above Sheffield websites. As being new to this site, I am still uncertain of the full protocol for what you cannot and can post and how.
I know there was a St. Thomas church at Brightside but it just depends where the family Marcus is searching went. They could have also gone to the church at Pitsmoor or Shalesmoor. I would say Sheffield Records Online is the best site to go for information as they are a great bunch and very helpful with a mine load of information.
I have checked two of the census sheets I have for one of my ancestors who were born and living Brightside and the ecclesiastical district is given is Wicker Trinity and another Christ Church, Pitsmoor!
Kind regards :)
