Anyone currently living in Pennant Saskatchewan, please respond to a request
for information on a John A. McLeod and his wife Stella. This couple
settled and were farming in the Pennant Saskatchewan area during the 1950s
and earlier. As far as I know, they had no children, but I am one of only 2 grand
nephews through our maternal grandmother named Anna May White (nee McLeod).
I would appreciate learning more about their lives, as they came from Nottawa
Ontario during the times of a $1-an-acre government incentive to farm the Prairies.
I have photographs and letters kept by my deceased mother, but need to fill in
some gaps...dealing with land titiles, wills, investments, and inheritance.

Hi Willye,
Check out the following website www.ourroots.ca/beta/toc.aspx?id=4411
I am sure you will find the answer to most of you inquiries in this book.
If you contact The Saskatchewan Archives and give them the land description from the book you will be able to
request a copy of the land records sometimes there might be a copy of a will. The cost is about $15.00 for the file
www.saskarchives.com. Just click onto the contact us. They are very backed up so it can take a while to get a file.
