Do you know his regiment or army number?

You could search for his army record and that information would narrow down your search.

Has he a headstone? He might be buried with his family. Many people are.

Hi Marcii, Know nothing of military service but think I know of someone connected to that family. Sams Mam has already sent you my email with my permission. That family are not connected to mine from Tallow and were there later than my family. If you wish to contact me I will send photos entrusted to me. This family did live at  New street Tallow. Grave photo shows James  Fitzgerald died Jan. 6 1969. Daughter Hilda died 7 July 1970. Son Ollie died 31 May 1979.  Son in law Michael Fitzgerald died 17 Jan. 1991, Han Fitzgerald 5/ Jan 1991 age 93. John Fitzgerald died 29 Nov. 1996  age 70, Do not know who these last are. A Jimmy still living in Co Waterford apparently.      Also photo of house said to be 11 New St Tallow.           Maureen        Avopotto
