I've removed my efforts - not very good

Hi,
Is it what they used to called silk finish?

Hi Paulene, I have no idea, the paper is a bit thicker than the usual glossy paper, the wedding was in 1952. There's nothing on the back of the pictures except where they were glued into an album and it peeled the surface off the back when they were removed.

Hi roxque,
Thanks for replying - I asked because I had a photo of me and my dad, at my wedding, which when I enlarged and cropped it had the same sort of fishscale effect - it caused a lot of havoc at the time I put it on the restorers board for advice on what to do about this (I'm sure hippy remembers it well! ;D). The restorers did a brilliant job, with a very awkward photo. I thought this seemed to have the same appearance, so I was just curious to see if you knew.
They're making a fantastic job with this one, aren't they!
Once again, thanks for taking the time to reply.
Paulene :)
