There is a possible marriage
FreeBMD
Jun qtr 1924
Lambeth
Benjamin R Brock
Beatrice R Flint
1d 686

you could look up poss marriages freeBMD

then look for children (after Sept 1911 mother's maiden names are given )

look on Genes Reunited to see if anyone is researching the brocks

search RootsChat to see who is researching the brocks

check 1911 census to see if they are both still around

check military records

There's a lot of research you can do

Hi

I can see the birth of Benjamin Robert on Freebmd - Q2 1902 Wandsworth 1d 732.  I cannot see an Ernest Brock born in Wandsworth in 1907 but there are two Ernest Brocks with births registered in Lambeth in 1906 - Ernest Brock Q4 1906 Lambeth 1d 343
- Ernest Alfred Brock Q4 1906 Lambeth 1d 303

I suspect that one of these two Ernests died in Chatham Kent in May 1985 (the entry shows his birthday as 14 Oct 1906).

The Freebmd records get a bit thin as you move in to the 20th century so relying on them can be dodgy but I have found no child deaths corresponding to Benjamin or Ernest.  Assuming that they lived to adulthood you need to slog through the marriage indexes to try to find their marriages if any and through the death indexes to find their deaths.  If you have any vague idea of their whereabouts you can search the UK telephone indexes and if they had a telephone you will find their address.

But it is going to be a hard slog

Good luck

there are birth regs with Brock/Flint  parents post 1924 -although I think there were probably 2 brock/Flint marriages -but possibly the first one reg lambeth is from benjamin R /Beatrice R marriage

Only a guess but may beworth investigating further

Hi Benjamin Brock is my GG Granddad his mother was Sarah Brock who was unmarried when she had Benjamin. Benjamin's Dad is Benjamin Baggott , so obviously Sarah gave Benjamin her name, she went on to marry and took the Sarah Bateman
would love to chat

Jeflb.

onecoat posted this in 2009, and his email address is apparently no longer working, so the chances of his seeing your post is extremely unlikely, unfortunately.

Added:
According to GRO Benjamin Robert Brock's mother's maiden name was Gasson - why do you think she was unmarried?

Jeflb,

I have been looking at some of your other posts.

The Benjamin Brock you refer to was baptised on 24th June 1821 in Upper Hayford, Oxford, son of Benjamin Bagot and Sarah Brock, he was living in 'Upper and Lower' Hayford.  (There was another Benjamin Baggott who died in 1837, I think).

Hi great to hear form you,
yes you are correct re Benjamin Brock Upper and Lower Hayford, my
GG Granddad ;)  Not sure if there is a link to the other Benjamin Robert Brock , there is a Robert Brock on My GGG Nan Sarah Brock's side, but I haven't found his wife.  Yes Sarah gave birth to my
B Brock his father being Benjamin Baggott. He went on to marry some one else had a son who sadly died very young. Any information you have and would like to share would be great.

I know my Granddad William George Brock was married had two sons left his first wife to be with my Nan, may be there is a link there some where?

Regards

Benjamin Robert Brock appears to be the son of Robert Frederick Brock and Rose Minnie Gasson.

Robert Frederick Brock, was born 1871 Lambeth mmn Till.
Emma Till married Bracegirdle and then Benjamin Brock.

This is not information I have, just what a quick search on Ancestry gives me.
