I am new to this listing, and wondered if anyone had connections to the above?
My g-grandfather was Robert Forsyth b 1880 in New Aberdour, son of John & Margaret Forsyth ms Barclay. I believe in the late 1800's and early 1900's New Aberdour was swarming with Forsyths!
Margaret was also born in New Aberdour, b 1857 at New Aberdour, daughter of Alexander Barclay and his wife, Jessie Scott. Jessie was the daughter of John Scott and his wife Margaret Gerrard, of Pitneycalder, New Aberdour.
If anyone has any connections to the above, please contact me, as I would be delighted to exchange information with people.
Kind regards
Donna

Hello Donna
My uncle is a direct descendant of John Scott and Margaret Gerrard - via Samuel Scott b.24 March 1838
I take it that your Jessie, was Janet Scott who was born 20 Oct 1833 and d. 27 Sept 1873.
If we haven't been in touch before, am more than willing to pass on all I have on the Scotts which includes a couple of wills from the 1800's and their transcriptions and census records as well as BMDs. We can discuss by pm.

Hello Donna - apparently to avoid spam being sent, people new to the board aren't allowed to receive/send peronal messages until ? 3 posts. If you just post a couple of 'test messages' here, I should then be able to send you my e-mail address. Thank you. Regards, Steve :O)
