Leonard Charles Dumbleton was born in June 1914 in Fulham U.K. to Samuel John and Rosina Dumbleton {Nee Miller}
Leonard left the U.K. from Plymouth in 1929 and arrived in Brisbane, Queensland on the boat called "Oronsay" 23 July 1919. Leonard goes on to live in the Maranoa Downs area near Roma. Leonard married a Evelyn and had two children Wendy and Keith in the late 1930s.
Can anyone find the marriage for me, Please. Liz Hutchison :D :D

Marriages only go to 1929 on the Qld online BDM site.
However I do beleive that they are available after that period in some libraries and Genealogical society on micro fiche.

Hello, in 1908 Francis Mary Pauline Dumbleton, born in 1888 married my great uncle William Carl Frederick Anderson who died shortly after returning to NZ from WW1. Frances had two children Henry and Sophie. She never remarried and died on 14 May 1950 and is buried at the Purewa Cemetry, Auckland.
I am unaware of who her parents were or where she was born. Is there any connection with your Dumbleton relatives?

Hi DonL - I am a novice on this page so I think I need to post a couple more times before I can private message you...
Meantime, I am not related to this branch of the Dumbleton family, but investigated them in the hope that I was (!). Francis Mary Pauline Dumbleton was born in Simla, India in 1888, she was the daughter of Arthur Roderick Dumbleton 1864 and Mary Phoebe Stewart 1865.
I will leave it at that for now, but will endeavour to private message you.

Frances Mary Pauline DUMBLETON is my 2nd.cousin and I have her born in New Zealand (not confirmed). I cannot find her born in Simla, India, even though her father, Arthur Roderick DUMBLETON was born in India circa 1864.
Do you have further information regarding this family?
