Hi All,
I hope someone can help me with this, I have just found out my 2x GreatGrandfather David Carmont died in Rotherham in 1899. I'm trying to find which cemetery he is buried in, also which Register Office do I send for his Death certificate.
His last address in 1891 was 54 Meadowhall Road, Kimberworth, Rotherham.
Kind Regards
Beannie

beannie, if you go to freebmd you can look up his death and get the registration number you need to order the Death cert. It will tell you the registration district where the death is registered.
You can then go online to the national office in Southport and order the death cert..they take credit cards.
I don't have the web link for how to orderon line but someone will reply and give it I'd sure.
Finding the cemetery is another thing altogether... most of us keep hunting and hunting for burial details- no easy answer there., I'm afraid

Hi Charlotte, Doodle and Paul
Thank you so much for your replies and help. I will phone the cemetery tomorrow and see if they can help and also send for his death certificate. I only know that after his death his 2nd wife Sarah and son moved to St Annes. (from 1901 census info I have) His 1st wife Elizabeth (my 2x GrtGrandmother died somewhere between 1862-1871 in Manchester) I have a few leads to follow up, I've also just found that they also had a daughter who lived with relatives in Oldham. Thank you so much again, I really appreciate your time.
Kind Regards
Jeanne
