Title: Kelly and Martin Walsall marriage COMPLETED
Post by: CarolynWinterburn on Friday 06 February 09 09:54 GMT (UK)
Hi,
I have the marriage certificate for John Kelly and Ellen Martin married in St. Mary`s Chapel Walsall on the 23rd May 1853.
That of course gives me his father's name Michael. and her father's name William (deceased).
Not on any census does it give me the area of Ireland where they originated. Would there be any more details on them in the church records does anybody know.
Thanks in advance
Carolyn

No there will be no further info, church records will be exactly the same as you have on the certificate.

Marriage certificates / records only record where a person was living at the time of the marriage, not where they were born.
