Title: Lowrys of Downpatrick and Killinchy
Post by: tclowry on Wednesday 04 February 09 17:48 GMT (UK)
Can anyone help with my research. I have managed to get back to the early 1800s and to a gg grandfather James Lowry who attended Killinchy NS Presb Church.

Welcome to Rootschat. When you start trying to trace families in early 1800s the problem is often lack of available records. However, if you can give us more detail of what you are trying to find and where you've already searched we might be able to make suggestions.

Killinchy NSP church records go back to 1812 which is pretty good, but before that you will be struggling.  Have you seen the church records yet?
