Hi Elvis

When did she get married and to whom and where?

I just looked on the IGI and couldnt find an Ann Hogan born around that time. Irish research can be tricky.

Hi

I just found them in the 1851 census in St Marylebone. I take it that you already have this info. Ann is described as his wife but it is odd that she is put down as Ann Hogan. It may even say Hagan.

Hi

I have searched the England BMD indexes for a marriage but no luck. They probably married in Ireland.

Trouble is, Irish research can be tricky. But if one was from Cork and the other was from another Irish county, they may have met in England.

Hi

It is very likely that they came over during the Great Famine of the 1840s.
