Hello,
I am writing from Australia, so the only records I have are from here. GGGrandparents William and Bridget Corcoran (nee Hanlon) documented as being married on the 8 th of July 1853 in Dublin (both Catholic) William born in Castledermot and Bridget born in Tully, Kingstown (Dun Laoghaire) Dublin, so I presume they were married in / near Tully. Could anyone assist me please ?
Kind Regards
Sue

Since civil registration of Catholic marriages in Ireland started in 1864 you need to search for church records (if they exist). LDS (www.familysearch.org) have microfilmed many church records and it would be worth checking their online catalogue to see if there's anything you can order from your local LDS library to view there.

Thank you, I have not had any luck there.

there are RC parish records for Dun Laoghaire on the Irish Family History Foundation Website at www.irish-roots.ie (South Co. Dublin section)
Kingstown/Dun Laoghaire births : 1755-1900 marriages : 1755-1900
there is a marriage for a Bridget Hanlon in 1852 Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire Parish but there does not seem to be a match for William at that time.
(its a pay site - €5 per transcript, the index search is free)
Tully church looks like it could have been in Ballybrack Parish, which has baptism records on IFHF database but not marriage records, these may be included in the Glasthule records.

Hello Shane,
Thank you so much for your help. It is very difficult trying to research from Australia. I have Bridget's parents names and still no luck.
I have not found anything in Castledermot with William either. Could you please suggest something for that area also ? I beginning to think that I may never find anything in Ireland !!!
Many thanks,
Regards Sue
