Hairstyle looks kind of 1920ish...if we could see the whole thing it would be helpful. Is there anything printed on the back? How big is the photo?
Cheers,
China

I wondered if it was a uniform of some kind from during the war...it looks miles too big for her :)
I'll find out more about the originals
thanks

I don't think a uniform, this was the dress style at the time.
A nurse's uniform was different if that's what you were thinking of.In the meantime a bit of a tidy up.

Ps.If you come across any you want to save do it as you go along, save to a folder on your desktop or something like and sort them later also any info. you find useful save the email link to a folder also for future ref.

thanks so much Jim :)
I have saved them so far and requested more info on the originals from my uncle.
so many responses came I'll have to sift through them tomorrow and note the dates properly to see if i can match them up with people.
I'm almost sure the uniform man is Arthur O'Connor, my grandad's older brother B:1893. No one even knew he had a brother until I found him on a census so it could be that he died in the war and was never talked about?? He would have been 21 to 25 from start to end of ww1.
without everyone's advice on here I wouldn't have got that far!!
Fascinating stuff ;D
thanks again

Hi,
This lady was also printed as a postcard. Although everyone was pretty sure of the date for her, i thought I would show you the back now i have it, in case it gives any more clues??
many thanks
K :)

Only that it's after 1902, which is when the divided back came in...but you're right, everything's a clue :D

thanks China...that will help with the others as there were a few on postcards so I'll check the rest to see if they were like that too?
