Does anyone have access to the Liddington parish registers and could possibly take a look to see if there are any children to a John and Elizabeth Sansom from 1727 please? ;D
I've picked up a reference to a marriage bond for the marriage to take place at Wanborough but it has Elizabeth down as being of Liddington, Wiltshire, and John from Liddington, Bedfordshire ... I think the latter must be a mistake or it could be Lidlington in Bedfordshire. Anyway, I'm looking for the marriage of a John and Elizabeth Sansom/Sansum around this time so this is promising if there are no children to the pair anywhere. There aren't any in Wanborough as I've already checked!
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Nicola

Hi Nichola,
This is a bit of a tangent but it might eventually help you in giving another place to look.
In Broad Blunsdon churchyard is a memorial to George William SansoM great grandson of Mary w/o George Moore Edwards died May 1872 aged 2.
The corresponding entry in the parish records states " George SansoN of Hannington buried 6 May 1872 aged 2.
Good luck, Toby.

Hi Toby
Thanks for that. Not sure if there is a connection with my Sansoms or not. I'll keep it in mind.

Hi
FYI
Mary Edwards (nee Hall) wife of George Moore Edwards.
-daughter Mary Elizabeth Edwards (later marries George Cason)
-granddaughter Emma Edwards baseborn daughter of Mary Elizabeth
- George Sanson son of Charles S Sanson & Emma Edwards.
In 1851 hannington census , Charles Sanson lists his place of birth as Kings Stanley, Herts & George's place of birth is shown as Two Waters, Bucks
