Title: Colchester (Hawkins)
Post by: Kriti on Wednesday 28 January 09 20:30 GMT (UK)
Hi Folks
I'm new here.
I've been tracking my ancestors for a while now and have some info. but of course I want more.
My mother's family name was HAWKINS. This branch was in Colchester at least from the latter years of the 19th century.
We were definitely near the bottom of the social ladder. GGDad kept a beer shop/house and GDAD worked on the Great Eastern railway.
I would dearly love to get in touch with anyone who has come across Hawkins's in their Colchester researches

Hi Kriti and welcome,

I am not a Hawkins, but interested in the Pritchards  I know that Florence Pritchard married into the Hawkins family. I am wondering if I might of communicated with you  in the past ( on another site) about George Pritchard  and Mary Kitchen Aldridge.- If so I am still trying to discover more about them gradually coming up with a few possibilities.

I think we may have spoken on Genes Re-united?

If so I'm sorry to say I've made no progress on George or Mary.

I have diverted attention to my father's family for a while but I'd be really happy to hear if you come across anything else.

Kriti ;D
