Hello, I have just researched one of my Ancestors death certicate and found out his parents were ALEXANDER DAVIDSON (Flesher) and ELIZABETH BOOTH they had a son JAMES DAVIDSON d, 1889 age 68 Peterhead, who Married JANET Paterson in Peterhead. But am not sure James parents came from Peterhead. Any info on Alexander Davidson and Elizabeth Booth would be appreciated. :)

Hi
The IGI has an entry for the marriage of James and Janet 11 NOV 1841, Peterhead, Aberdeen. If you view the original on Scotland's people you may find out more about the family. It would also be worth checking the 1841 census for them as that might give you a place of birth for the parents.

Hi
I was interested in your post as I have Peterhead Davidsons in my tree. I am related to the Davidsons listed by ev in the 1841 census (my 4x great grandparents.) I was curious since the Elizabeth listed in this census was also a Booth and I too wondered if your Alexander was also called John.
I had a quick look and couldn't seem to find much about Alexander but I did find a reference on the IGIs to a Christening of a James Davidson on 06 Apr 1826 in Peterhead with the parent's name given as Alexr Davidson. Could this be your relative?
Coincidentally, John and Elizabeth are living in the same street as James and Janet in the 1851 census. Families did tend to stick together and I've found many other of my Davidsons born and living in North St. I'd be thinking that John and Alexander are the same person.

::) Yeah am confused about this one, i found details of JOHN and Elizabeth and the children they have
1. John Davidson - b/abt 1818
2. Alexander b/abt 1826
3. william b/abt 1828
4. Ann b/abt 1830
5/ Mary b/abt 1832
6 John b/abt 1839
All Peterhead
BUT no JAMES DAVIDSON b abt 1818 - 1821
If you have These Davidson on your tree, we could maybe exchange info.

Hi, dont know if you have advanced any since last post but I have some information that might help. John Davidson was my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather. He was married to Elizabeth Booth on the 26/12/1815 in Monquhitter Aberdeenshire. John was born in Peterhead in 1795 Lived in 21 North St Peterhead and died on the 18/11/1869. Elizabeth was born in 1793 in Mill of Allen Monquihitter and died 30/5/1870. I have a copy of their marraige from the parish registar in Peterhead if you are interested.
Hope this helps
Dave
