I am not sured what resources are available to look up a marriage.
I am looking for a marriage between
John Henderson William L'Estrange Born 1864 Dublin
Mary Alice ??????? born around 1863. She died in Australia in 1891
I imagine the marriage would have been from around 1883 to 1890
Any help would be appreciated.
I also don't know if they had any children in Ireland. I think they may have gone to Australia around 1888 as some brothers went to Queensland then, but am not sure if they went with them.
Thanks

Have you tried the FamilySearch Pilot site for Irish BMDs?

Couldn't resist ::)
Had a quick look.
result! John Henderson L'Estrange marriage Dublin North Jul - Sept 1883.
The only way to find wife's name is to send to Dublin for the cert.
Hope this helps.

Cheers - Finally getting to terms with the intricacies and foibles of the new site.... I'm still cold on a few of my own but finding marriages is getting easier.
I had a touch of luck when looking for a grand ma i was struggling with - i Had spent my time looking for records in Tullamore but found a suspiciously strong possibility in Mullingar - checked with an older relative only to be told 'oh yeah, isn't Mullingar in Tullamore then?' i should have guessed as she have never left Dublin!
Oh well , on with the work eah!
Slan go foill

Hi Frankie,
Welcome to RootsCnat.
You may be able to get help sorting your computer from the guys on the Technical Help board. www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php
If you're looking for information about Dublin marriages give as many details as possible so that people have a chance to assist you.
There's a useful tip, relating to the subject heading when opening a new thread, which
I sometimes use on sites like this one where the threads can be put into alphabetcial order. It's to put the date first ... then a surname (or two, or a Christian name) and a location. Three or four words in the heading is sufficient to catch the eye.
You'll find most of the people on the Irish boards are extremely helpful and will do their best to answer you queries.
